Yard Junkie #4

Yard Junkie #4

The day started out very nice, I even got a little sun burnt but that all ended around 11:30 A.M. I could see the wind in the valley push up all the dust and what ever else is in the air and I knew I was going to be sick if I stayed out in this massive dust storm.

brown business suit 10.00
black and white dress shirt 5.00
Sun Dress 1.00
Mulit colors broom skirt 1.00
brown sleeveless shirt 1.00

We live up on Sunrise Manor Mountain and we can see the entire valley. Even most of people having  the sales we stopped at looked at this storm and started to pack up.  I don’t like stopping at yards that are packing up because I just feel like I am invading the process. I don’t want people to end up being in a hurry to put there items away just because I wanted to look at what they have, so instead I ask them if they will have the yard sale next weekend if the weather is better. Chances are they always do.

Out of all the items I picked up this weekend my ultra favorite is the brown suit I got for $ 10.00. It is not only cute but it has a skirt and pants. The jacket fits me very nice and the skirt does to, but the pants and my butt have issues, so I think I would just wear the skirt.  I am proud to announce I now have a black and white suit and brown and pinstripe suit.  I am pretty happy about it. I can’t tell you how long I have had the black pin stripe suit, but I do remember where I got it, at a Ross years ago.

Another wonderful find at the same yard was this shirt. I went out with this shirt on and I was complemented on how good I looked in it and that i had put together a nice look. I paired it when dark blue jeans and black heals. I love the way I look in this shirt and I think it will be a good interview outfit piece.

This next sun dress has some pretty colors in it. It is a large and I love dresses in the summer time. I bought this dress for me, but as soon as it was washed, my daughter took it and put it on. It looks so cute on her, its long enough for her to pretend she is in a ball gown and the top hugs her and it says up. I may just give it to her to play dress up.  I did try it on and it looks very nice one me, it will look better when I have a tan. Tanning makes me feel healthy- I don’t stay out in sun long and I only tan in the mornings before noon.

I think the multi  color brown skirt and the brown top look cute together.  the best part is that I did not even buy them at the same yard. I love that when things come together. The skirt is a little tight around my butt, but other than that is looks very nice with some brown flip flops and the brown top.  I can’t wait for the next time we go out. It may be a while due to some budget cuts around here, but I don’t have to buy myself close for a long while.  I need to focus on the kids having shorts and nice t shirts for the summer.

How did your perfect outfit come together for you?

I have more excited yardsle posts coming once I can find the time to go out. I have made a list of what my kids need to for the summer so wish me luck.

Robert De Niro's The Family Gets It's First Official Trailer [Video] | Contactmusic.com

I am totally going to see this movie when it’s out. I found this trailer while stumbling around the Internet and I thought I would share it with all of you. I love Robert De Niro as a person and a actor. I don’t know him personally but if I have the chance to ever have dinner with him that would be totally cool.

Why I am thinking about it, do any of my readers have a Stumble upon account? It is a very cool search tool that my best friend and I use when we cant find anything to do and want to find something amazing to talking about or to look at or to cook. German Chocolate Fudge Review

Private Selection Review

I was able to review this product Thanks to the following sponsor. Buzzagent.

I really like the Private Reserve selection brand from Smiths. I shop at Smith's a lot and now that I have a small relationship with the brand the name jumps out at me when I am shopping. I was so happy to get the chance to review this cake for all of you. I think my husband was a little more excited than I was, it has been a while that we had cake in the Manor.

The German Chocolate Fudge cake that I wanted was a little hard to find. It was not in the frozen foods section of the store. We looked high and low and we even asked a stock boy where we would be able to find it. He pointed us to the baking/cake department of the store.  We found this where the already baked cakes had been with the pies and cookies. It was not frozen or cold- it was room temp.

The German Chocolate Fudge was made with chocolate fudge cake topped with caramel then coconut and pecan frosting. All you have to do to experience this slice of warm heaven is simply warm the cake in the oven for 12 minutes at the tempter is says on the back of the box. The Manor began to smell of a cake and my kids seemed to come out of the school coma to have a semi- big slice. They always appreciate random cake surprises like this after dinner. Once the cake has been warmed and you let it cool you flip the cake onto a serving platter or as I do it- on a plate.

Look at this side of the cake witch will become the bottom when you flip it. This is the side you see when you pull it out of the box and stick it in the stove. Not burnt and looks cooked all the way through.

Then you flip it over.

The cake and the toppings just plunge out of the plastic cake pan. I do need to tell you that not all the toppings fell out so you will need to use something to scoop it out and replace it back on the top. I added both pictures because I can’t decide what one looked better, one was taken with the flash and the other was not. One looks way dark, the other you see the caramel.

With my flash from my camera you can see how moist the cake looks and how creamy and deep the topping is on top of the cake.  It also tasted fresh, not stale from being just left out.  The coconut and camel are all melted together and make a sweet creamy texture in your mouth.

I advise you eat this as soon as the wait time is over and you drink it with a nice tall glass of milk or a cup of coffee.

The warm, flip and serve came in three delicious flavors – German Chocolate Fudge (the one I have and showed you), Double Chocolate Molten and Amber Honey Apple Spice.
